  • My class is a drop in class so I just pay £5 when I attend. If I miss a class I don't have to pay and if I can't afford it one week then I won't go. It's flexible at least.

    Got you.

So could you trim £1.50 off the petrol & food a week.
So that only leaves £2 a week to find.

My back started to feel really sore yesterday after dinner. There was one particular exercise in Pilates that was really working my lower back and earlier in the day I'd been moving furniture and cleaning in DS3's room. So I think it was all a bit too much for my back. I took ibuprofen and paracetamol at bedtime and another dose in the night as it had stiffened up even more. I still had to put Deep Heat on my back before I could go back to sleep!

I was going to go for a long walk by the sea today but have decided not to. In the past I've spent bus money to get there and bought a coffee. I'd already decided to take coffee with me in my travel mug to save money. But as my back is still sore and the sky is grey and gloomy I've decided to stay at home. At least I'll save the bus money as things are very tight at the moment :(.

I need to find something constructive to do sitting down, so I thought maybe a bit of work on my business, plus go through some more emails. I didn't check my emails for about ten weeks after my mum died, so have thousands to go through and delete.

I hope being in all day doesn't make me feel miserable. I'll have to practise positive thinking.

I'm fed up with wet washing around the house, but it's been showery for about four days so I can't risk putting it outside. I don't want to tumble it as I'm trying to reduce our electricity bill. I definitely want to buy a second clothes horse when we can afford it as we gave our smaller one to DS3. We haven't put our heating on yet because it's really quite warm. I want to hold off until November and possibly even December as we have mild winters here usually. In your face NPower!

  • I did some work on my business this morning and feel pleased with that :). I need DH to show me how to use a piece of software and after that I can make much faster progress. I'm not sure when he'll fit that into his busy schedule though :(.

DH suggested a quick walk by the sea at lunchtime, so we spent half an hour having the cobwebs blown away. It will have done DH good to get some fresh air and exercise as he rarely leaves the house.

On the way back we had to buy baking potatoes and more milk, so nearly £4 spent there. I obviously forgot quite a few things on my food shop last week .

DH has now gone out to get his hair cut as he has a customer meeting tomorrow, so that will be £7 spent. He uses Turkish barbers who don't chit chat but just silently cut hair, but they are quick and efficient so it suits DH :).

Thanks Purplemum. The walk wasn't too windy, just a little damp.
