I live right near a massive one and even drive a mile out of my way to avoid going past it at this time of year. I am so glad that I decided to do that again this year.
I got into the queue quite ok, but when I looked up they were down the aisles. x

I’ve done quite well nipping into shops for the odd bits I’ve needed - I’ve been going at tea time for the few bits I’ve needed on the lead up to Christmas. I’ll do my main shop on 28th as we’re not eating at home until then. I still can’t get used to not having to feed the hoards.
Your fairy lights around your front door sound lovely. We actually have fairy lights around our fence all year around - they brighten the back garden which we see from the house. At Christmas we just add some LED Christmas shaped lights which cone down after Christmas and it seems very gloomy.
Have a lovely Christmas with your boys and enjoy Boxing Day with the rest of the family. Remember the happy memories of your mum but make lots of new ones too.:xmastree:January spends - £587.580 -
Thank you Milann
. I am trying to make new memories to add to my memories of all the lovely Christmases with my Mum.

I do hope you have a lovely time over Xmas. You will be thinking of your Mum, I shall be thinking of my Aunt, and lots of others will be remembering loved ones no longer with them. We were lucky to have such people in our lives.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about Christmas. Every year I wing it and do everything in December and get all frazzled and stressed.
Well next year I've decided to do things differently. My aim is to have all my presents bought and wrapped by 30 November. I also want all my Christmas cards written by the end of November too. That way I can actually enjoy December.
This year I've been particularly frazzled because I've been busy at school and didn't break up until the 20th, I've been busy with my course, and worst of all I was ill for the last week of term so I didn't feel well enough to do very much. We missed two Christmas fairs we wanted to go to in November at NT places because we didn't realise when they were on due to not looking up the dates .
So next year things are going to be organised well in advance. I'm going to borrow OBL's idea of a notebook to write down all my Christmas planning for 2020. I'm also planning to buy my presents in sales throughout the year. I shall write down the dates of any Christmas fairs, etc, on my calendar in October to make sure we don't miss any. I want to put up the Christmas lights in November too and then just switch them on in December.
I love the idea of not having anything to do in December 2020 apart from Christmas events, so that I can relax and enjoy the build up to Christmas.
