    Morning

Apologies for my long absence ...had a pretty miserable few months which I wont bore you with but suffice to say its time to move on and put that unpleasant part of my life fully behind me :)

Having a lovely sunday mooching ....made a mahoosive chilli which is currently brewing nicely in the slow cooker. Will have some of that tonight and the rest will feed mum and my freezer. Fancy some rice crispy squares as well so on to that soon...I somehow have managed to have a glut of marshmallows which need using up.

Mum is coping on her own... just about... but she has been unlucky her TV gave up last week then this week the motorised valve for her heating. The TV I managed to get her a very similar one on same day delivery from Argos so she didn't miss any of her favourites (very impressed with this I think it was about 2 hours after ordering that it was delivered). Tried to get her to stay here with the heating problems but with the warm weather she said she is OK. Hopefully this will be all solved on Monday.

Have been keeping as much as I could with everyones news and just want to say thanks for all the messages and come back soon for Karcher...hope you are OK chick.

    Have a great day everyone

Take care of yourself and enjoy your mooching and chilli :)

I'm feeling very guilty. I have done absolutely nothing all weekend :o

I know sometimes it's good just to do nothing and relax but I feel like I'm wasting my weekend and I would feel better if I at least achieved something. There's lots I could be doing but I just cba!

    Oh well! :D

  • Hello all, I'm just messing about today but productive messing. Not very fascinating so I'll not bore you all to bits.

    Have a happy day

    Good afternoon everyone :hello:

Sorry I have not been around to post, I have been reading along though and cheering or commiserating as appropriate.

Just digesting a lovely roast chicken dinner cooked by Steve and then I am going to settle down and finish off the dragons I have been knitting. Jemima popped in for a bit to escape from her other half as he is watching some second world war programme. She asked if I would mind the kids on Wednesday morning before school as she has an early start at work.

We have had a pretty settled week with Becky so that is good, Phoebe has been a bit upset as she had CAMHS on Friday. Her therapist suggested getting her a bike to use up some of her adrenaline so we bought one for her on Saturday from Argos. They delivered it a few hours later and then Steve had the 'fortunate' job of putting it together. She went for a little ride round the estate but didn't want to go out today as it is a bit grey and miserable here.

I have a very busy week next week as I have appointments on every day for me or the girls. I have started a new anti anxiety drug but it is not being very effective unfortunately.

I have ordered lots of new sparkly yarn to cheer me up and will embark on making some of it into Christmas presents once the dragons are out of the way. I have ordered some new patterns as well but I need some circular needles for some things. I have never used them before so that will keep me occupied I am sure.

Hope you are all enjoying a lovely lazy Sunday, take care xx

    Hi all,

Good evening with our friends last night and DGodson ran us home later. We were still in much earlier than both DSons who went out together but arrived home seperately, 2am and 5am respectively. Not seen DS2 yet.
Did a bit of shopping this morning but unfortunately missed DB and SIL dropping off DGD pressie, luckily DS1 was up.I thought they'd call today but later on.Ah well, they didnt ring so it can't be helped.

DH is in the cellar working, now the likelihood of flooding has been reduced because of the remedial road works ,he wants to get it plastered soon.New electrics are in and its nearly all plasterboarded so hopefully it wont be long before its a proper useable room :jThere is a big radiator & a nice decent size window so its not too dark. He's going to put big cupboards in the chimney alcoves so that should help with our storage problems.

Good to see you back Nelski, and Karcher too.
Time for some crochet I think xx

Easy tea of steak tonight, and will prob make an apple crumble too.

I am sorry you have had a bad few months but it is good to see you.

Family left around three and I am still clearing up. Put the laundry outside to finish drying and the dishwasher is just finishing up ready for another load. The lasagne last night and the beef and mushroom pie went down very well and I am glad I bought disposable foil trays to cook in rather than have to soak and scrub metal trays. It was so nice this afternoon we all ate in the garden which was lovely.

Middle dd just said she will be staying over on this Saturday evening as well :j as she is meeting friends near here and we might go shopping on the Sunday morning so will look forward to that. We all played board games last night while drinking wine and as the wine disappeared our answers got slower and slower ;)

    Hugs to all

    Evening all,

Ive been tired most of the day... I had the Grandchildren overnight. It went well, they slept well but was tiring.

Finally fell asleep at my desk at around 5 and woke an hour later. I feel a bit brighter now its time to go to bed.

Youngest rolled in at 2 this afternoon. "I need to rot" he said as he crawled up the stairs. He went clubbing last night and i went to check on him an hour ago. He's thrown up in the bin (thank goodness for bin liners). Ive not heard a thing out of him since he came in.

Sunday dinner has been postponed until tomorrow. I was in no fit state...

Looking forward to getting into bed.

    Sleep well all.
