Anybody got any real world figures for the new vito van. Generally find Merc figures can be taken with a pinch of salt.

Yep. Got a 17 plate poverty spec extended wheelbase bought new in June. Journeys are mostly motorway/dual carriageway at 70MPH with 30 miles of A road at one end and a couple of miles of town driving at the other with a few PCs, monitors, boxes of cabling, tools, couple of pairs of ladders in the back and a passenger.
Getting 49-50MPG on the trip computer, full to full filling up suggests more like 47MPG. Even got that on the last job I did which involved taking 1.5hrs to drive from Borehamwood to just near Hyde Park.
Only done 2000 miles so far so the engine is still a bit tight and there may be opportunity for some slight improvement as it frees up a bit and I could drive a bit more economically as well, I'm not doing eco driving to the level I could do.0 -
Hope they have a better engine than the 2.2 in the previous version.
It scrapped many good vans with its crankcase pressure fault.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
The one I have couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding. I swear the fully loaded 44 tonne lorries I used to drive accelerated faster.
Still given I didn't buy it, aren't paying to run it and get paid to drive it then that's someone else's problem.0 -

Given the lack of go I'm assuming the 88BHP 1.6L CDI. Its not a BlueTech.0
