    Figs good, beetroot good, mushrooms good, tomatoes o.k., beans not if french, hate the squeaking, aubergines I am always seduced by their glossy sleekness, any good recipes for their use please.
    Not sure on parrotometer, possible 50/50 but more 40/60 I think.
    Do I need it or just want it.

    Not a great selection for the parrot. He'll enjoy the figs and we'll share the beetroot between us.

    The plums in super-6 offer in my local are yellow! They are an infrequent appearance so stock up now.

    The latest super 6 were slightly different in my local Aldi. Aubergines had been substituted with chillies at 29p, and the green beans were 77P instead of 59P. I brought some of the mushrooms and figs.

    Just come back from our local Aldi.
    No aubergines on the usual 'super 6' stand but there were chillies.
    However, the aubergines were in their usual place priced at 59p.

    The apples in Aldi are tiny, regardless of whether 'fun' size or not.

    I remember you used to be able to buy loose honking great big apples, usually 3 to 4 per kilo, apples seem a lot smaller lately - in most stores, not just Aldi.
