Best white gloss paint that doesn't yellow

Our old Victorian house doesn't get a great deal of natural light on our staircase. I'm getting a new carpet laid in November so while I have the chance, I want to paint skirting boards, spindles, banisters and dado rails, mammoth job as 2.5 staircases (trying to forget the 13 doors as well) so I want the paint to stay as white as long as possible, any recommendations please. Thanks in advance.

You should probably look for a water-based gloss. I prefer Eggshell myself.
You'll need to lighty sand whatever is there already to "key" it."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -
I would deffo go with water based as already stated as it wont yellow like the current oil based paints.
I'm doing all the wood work in my house with Benjamin Moore Advanced Satin. Benjamin Moore is a US brand and although pricey an excellent product.
The satin does NOT require an undercoat on sound well prepared bases. The old paintwork will need well keying with 120 grit and degrease with meths. Two coats of BM and you will be sorted. IMO satin is a nicer finish than gloss and I suspect you still need to undercoat with gloss too.
Here is the paint and where you buy it - the 4 litre tin will last for ageeeeeeees

Use a decent quality synthetic brush with WB paint- I like the preform blaze or Hamilton perfection.0 -
Only painted a few months ago, but the wilko water based gloss I used is still white and seems reasonably hard wearing.
I don't think it will ever match oil based for finish and wear, but it's better than I thought it would be, dries quickly & no smell0 -
Sikkens Rubbol BL Satura satin not gloss but very good0

Dulux Diamond oil based gloss. Used it 4 years ago and still as white as when it was applied.
It is also far harder than water based so takes knocks and doesn't hold dirt.0
