I'm new to Thunderbird and although setting up my gmail on it was a doddle, Yahoo has me baffled. I set up my Yahoo account just the same way as for my gmail one, then I got an email from Yahoo which says ...
On September 22, 2017 at 10:14, we noticed an attempt to sign in to your Yahoo account from United Kingdom.
If this was you, please create an app password as you've enabled second sign-in verification.
The steps for creating an app password are as follows:
1. Visit https://login.yahoo.com/account and sign in to your Yahoo account.
2. Look for ‘App passwords’ and click ‘Generate password’.
3. Use your app password to sign in again.
I'm OK with that down to #2, but at #3, "use that password to sign in again" - to what, where ????
