RBS Student Bank Account Closed

I am not sure how NatWest define "mischief". As far as I am aware only the other signatory accessed the account. However, when one of the students closed the account for the energy supplier (SSE) at the end of term in July there was a problem. The house at some time in the past had been let as two flats and therefore had two meters & two contracts. Either the student did not make this clear at termination because SSE did not close both accounts. One month later, with no payment on the open account SSE attempted to withdraw one years worth of money (almost £2k). I am unsure if this account had an overdraft facility. Clearly the students must have been told by someone because they contacted SSE who refunded the money after closing the second account. This last part is all hearsay as that person went travelling to S E Asia and has been unreachable. We have completed a CIFAS request form but are awaiting their response as to acceptable ORIGINAL documents. We cannot provide the following :-Original council tax demand, Original utility bill, Original local council rent card or original instrument of a court application . We may be able to provide an Original Tax Notification from HMRC IF a suite of P45 docs from her last employer, when she worked over Xmas last year, is deemed acceptable. Failing that, the only other HMRC document we have is the original letter allocating her a NI number, If the P45 etc fails we will be in the same position as Equifax etc; unable to prove her identity/address.0

It is now the 3rd November and HSBC have opened a Student account for my daughter. I believe that she only had to provide ID from the University and her Passport. There may be a "Marker" against her name but they still offered her a £1000.00 free overdraft facility. Thanks to everyone who posted with advice.0
