Santander blocked my account

Correct at the time of posting. Bankruptcy was in May of 2002, my claims for UC is closed and loans were pending at the time I made that post.

Re the PPI refund - since that post was made I've not made any further enquiries nor heard anything further from the bank.

If that was your intention you were clearly using the account for business purposes - and they could close it for that reason alone.

That surprised me but checked the terms of both my Halifax and Santander accounts and both (so I assume it's general) and sure enough they state that personal accounts must not be used for businesses (no differentiation between type of business).

OP posted this way back in september so Im hoping the OP has it sorted, you would be better off starting your own thread.
