Not supporting old hardware with the latest software is standard for all manufactures so no reason to hate Apple on that.

Epson Stylus Colour 680 (2000), Canon i560 (2003) and HP LaserJet 1320 (2005) all work perfectly with Windows 10. No hunting around for drivers, just plug in via usb and let Windows install drivers using Update.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

Was thinking in the confines of the tablet world and the OP question. I have no knowledge of printers (never owned one) and what printer manufactures do in hardware and software advancements.
