  • Thank you for posting this. I have been going round in circles trying to find out what was wrong when the answer was right in front of me all the time!

    :rotfl:
  • just tried to use this in Libre, it opens but you can't get past thefirst page, unless i'm doing something wrong?
  • A thought for the forum team - is there any chance that the web-fairies at MSE Towers could create an MSE specific SOA calculator? it would be far easier to direct people to something on the site itself? We're currently having awful problems helping newbies on DFW because there;'s not a good option that works well for the SOA.

  • Hi, you're absolutely right, it would make sense. I've asked for it in the past and again on Thursday after your tweet. The Editorial team will look into it and weigh it up based on the other tools and content on the forward planning list, how many people it may help and what resource we have :)
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

  • Fingers crossed then - it's a tool that we use, as you know, with almost every new poster on DFW - and it can be used going forwards as a budgeting tool for them as well which is what makes it so useful.

For me, the DAF calculator is as broken as the stoozing one.

I use Libre Office, which has never failed to cope with an excel file before but can't handle that one.

    What about the NEDCAB one?

    https://nedcab.cabmoney.org.uk/quickfs.asp

OK, tried it and cutting and pasting the result is not very neat

Is it legible at all? Otherwise we might need to come up with some sort of short term fix I think. Maybe an SOA lifted from another thread and posted into here with figures removed so people can at least have the categories to hand? The only issue will be that it won't autosum.

Otherwise I'll have a go if I get time tomorrow/over the weekend and see if I can just throw something together in an Open Office Spreadsheet.
