How many applications is 'acceptable'.?

Just a quickie but what would be considered an acceptable amount of applications over a period of time before any real damage is done to a creditfile..?
For e.g 1 CC application per 6 months,6 applications max over 6 months..?

I'd say 1 or 2 application every 6 month . Mos tin important choose the card with the best deal for you and check the fees they will charge for b/tJust a quickie but what would be considered an acceptable amount of applications over a period of time before any real damage is done to a creditfile..?
