Barclaycard constantly changing card numbers

Until recently I had two Barclaycards: One Amex and one Visa. Since July this year Barclaycard have issued me with no less than FOUR new Visa cards and TWO Amex cards, each with different numbers! The new Amex cards were totally pointless as Barclaycard were in the process of withdrawing from their asscociation with Amex.…

They have just done it with me too, the card I had wasn't supposed to expire until 2020. Because of this I forgot to update my card details on various sites, and it has already led to a relative's birthday present being sent late. Grrr.....

I sent Barclay's a secure message asking why, apparently they are changing all their cards around, phasing some out. etc......
