Alton Towers - Parent & Toddler Tickets With A Four Year Old

Alton Towers are currently running an offer online of Parent & Toddler tickets for £25 (toddlers 2 and under) with an extra £5 per child between 3 and 5.

I just have a four year old and am wondering if it would be possible to buy a Parent and Toddler ticket and pay an extra £5 for a child between 3-5. I would then effectively have a ticket for an adult, under 3 year old and 3-5 year old but just wouldn't use the 'free' toddler ticket? Would work out much cheaper that way, even compared to using any vouchers you can get (£30 compared to £48)

If I ask them, I am sure the official line would be I cant, but it feels wrong to be paying more to go as the two of us as it would be for three of us:

If it was me, a two year old and a four year old - £30
If it was me and just a four year old (even with Kelloggs vouchers) - £48
