I was about 10 when I drove my Dads car on an old abandoned airfield.
My brother actually received a ban before he was old enough to drive which I thought was quite impressive.0 -
Same as martin, around 10. My Dad's 1937 Rover 14. On private land I must add.
However, if it can be called a car, a Reliant three wheeler van on my motorcycle licence at around 16 and a half.0 -

I used to drive a ratty Ford Escrote 1.4 round my mates farm. It had no ignition barrel as they had lost the keys
You had to hotwire it to start it.
Brilliant.

Bought my first car at 15, and drove that on private land before taking it apart to rebuild it.
Took driving lessons on an old airfield from 15 - local authority-run venue for under-17s to learn off the road.
Had my first legal driving lesson on the road at about 6.30am on my 17th birthday...
Passed my test first time three months after my 17th birthday - it would have been earlier, but the first test date clashed with exams.0 -

Define "drive"?
I was about 8, sitting on my Dad's lap doing the steering and gear changes while he worked the pedals. (On private land, to drive from the gate to where our caravan was located).0 -
