Don't. No, really, don't:
Rent a place out to a normal boring market-rent stranger & make money that way. If you want to help brother, as suggested maybe 6/12 months rent up-front or some monthly support but no buying somewhere or guaranteeing. It will end in tears & breakup relationship: Too many posts hereabouts and elsewhere provide evidence of this.0
