Tesco Finance Default

Has anybody ever had any dealings with Tesco finance when it comes to removing/amending default information on your credit file?
I have a default that is incorrect, the date is actually out by a year, are they likely to respond promptly to the letter that I sent recorded delivery to them yesterday, in line with ICO guidelines, or are they difficult to deal with?
Do they have a telephone number that I can chase this up with, customer services for instance?
I previously sent them a letter in August but they have ignored it, but now realise I sent it to the wrong address :-(

No reason they won't respond.
Especially if you've sent it to the correct address.0 -

I think most people will struggle to give you a timescale on when they will reply but they should resolve your complaint within 8 weeks of the issue being raised. If you have sent it recorded delivery then you should get a reply, at some stage. If they don't resolve the situation as you have asked then you can escalate the matter to the ICO.

Tesco Mobile also don't like to respond to lies they've put on credit files. They've failed to transfer ownership of a default over to Lowell on Experian, Lowell registered it seperately... so there are 2 on there for the same debt! They don't respond at all, they're a vile business.I can't add up.0

There won't be a customer facing phone number for their DPO.

So, I managed to get hold of the right folk at Tesco who confirm that they have received my letter, they have set the wheels in motion at their end to get this updated, wonder how long this will take now........? So frustrating!0

They have around 8 weeks from now to get it sorted.
As stated above, if they don't, or if you're unhappy with the service you receive, escalate the complaint to the ICO.
