I need to buy raw food for my dog but need foods that require lots of chewing and to be as close to the experience of eating food that he had caught himself if he was in the wild as possible. The only company I have been able to find that do this kind of food and a good selection is Paleo Ridge Raw but after two days of attempting to place an order online and their helpdesk not really helping me resolve the problem I have given up and want to find somewhere else to get this from.
Does anyone know of any other companies that deliver to all of the UK or have a shop in North Oxfordshire/South Warwickshire/South Northamptonshire that I could collect from?
Thanks

Raw Pet Supplies deliver all over the country and stock a range of brands (including Paleo Ridge)

I've been using them since I started raw feeding almost three years ago and they've been great.
What size dog are you feeding? I've found that with most brands the boneless chunks don't provide much of a chewing workout for my GSD but would need a lot more chewing for a smaller dog.
They used to stock boxes of Just Natural tripe chunks which were huge but they were more expensive than the other brands with smaller chunks so they stopped stocking them, it's a shame but I think I was the only one buying them.0 -
Thanks Fosterdog. I have an 18kg Cocker Spaniel - we need to get him down to around 15-16kg ideally. He has a big problem with anxiety and the behaviourist says that feeding him things that are more like he would get if he was in the wild and that requires lots of chewing should make him calmer which is why I don't want things that he can just swallow in seconds. He also isn't allowed outside at the moment as going out makes him more anxious and she wants us to get him to be in as calm a state as possible before we start working on teaching him that all of the things he is scared of aren't actually scary so we also need him to spend long periods of time on his food to try to entertain him a little. I will have a look at Raw Pet supplies.Current Debt - [strike]£38000[/strike] [strike]£32000[/strike] [strike]£28500[/strike] [strike]£22000[/strike] [strike]£16000[/strike] [strike]£10000[/strike] [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] £14000:eek:0

In that case you can feed minces but feed them still frozen or put them in a kong so he has to work to get it out and eventually upgrade to freezing it in the kong. There is a lot more variety if you add rather than block minces, minced chunks. They basically instead of freezing individual 1lb (usually) servings they freeze a big slab then cut that into chunks, much easier to grab a few chunks straight from the freezer than waiting for a block to defrost.
If you need any details of the individual products at RPS just drop Claire the owner an email and she will help you out.0
