Hi,

I have managed to get 1p tickets for Jan 2008. Would like to travel to Barcelona or Costa Brava from there. Could someone advice about MS Car hire and accomodation please?

A long way to drive, and perhaps problems driving out of France, you could go on the train.

There ar a few of us and it will be awkward to go from AP to the station and look for suitable train etc. Then there is the cost issue. By the way how much is a RTN to BCN.

Nimes is well located for Montpellier and Marseille, why do you want to go to Spain? What do you want from the holiday?

I used to live in Montpellier and absolutely loved it, why not base yourself aroud Nimes, you can visit Arles (Van Gogh's town) Nimes also has lots of old Roman architecture amphitheatres etc.

Montpellier is also lovely and is quite a vibrant city. If you really want to go to Barcelona we took the TGV from Montpellier and it took about three hours.

Nimes airport operates a shuttle bus service to the train station, have a look on Nimes airport website for details.

Other with me would like to visit Barcelona if possible. Would like to relax in a slightly lively place. Thinking of stopping on the way in Costa Brava. That is why I was asking about the car.
