Hi everyone
As part of my new mortgage application, I've been given a quote for Life Insurance and critical illness cover.
I'm aged 40 and have no pre existing health conditions
Non smokers
Decreasing cover for 140K mortgage and critual illness cover
£30 per month
AIG
Anyone have anything similar to compare this quote with please?

Sounds reasonable to me, plus AIG have a very comprehensive plan with some good additional features such as Best Doctors.
It would probably be worth considering long term income protection as well, however, the combination of that plus life insurance would probably work out more expensive overall, although it could potentially be far more valuable cover to have.0 -
Critical illness cover plans are not all equal. They cover to a base standard but most go beyond that standard. Some by a little. Some by a lot. So, you should not look at price alone. If you did, you could end up with a basic plan with little coverage.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
