Bulb taking money for no reason
Options
Hi everyone.
Has anyone had a similar issue?? I was in credit on my Bulb energy by £305. I emailed them to get a refund. they have now said that I am getting a £134 refund, £54 will stay on my bulb account and that I have used £118 worth of energy since 6 september. There is no way I could possibly have used this much!!!
I pay £54 per month DD and my account has always shown that I use less than £30 per month in energy.
Help!!!

Hi - welcome to the forum. Have you been giving Bulb regular meter readings? I assume that they asked for one before agreeing a refund? When this situation occurs, it is usually the result of people getting what is known as a ‘catch up’ bill as previous bills were based on estimates. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Without looking into your account for you I can't tell you exactly what has happened. If you give us a ring on 0300 30 30 635 or email help@bulb.co.uk we'll be able to have a look for you.
Hengus's suggestion for what could have happened seems most likely to me. We'll be able to quickly check up what's happened when you call in, the average phone wait time today is 13 seconds, so it won't take long.Official Company Representative
