i didnt say punish their reputation. i said their inefficiency put me off and i wouldnt buy from them now.thats my opinion and im entittled to it.way i see it they damaged their own reputation, they are gaining customer details and emails in this way. i dont understand your last garbled rant about texting people im afraid. anyway nuff said on the matter im sure people make up their own minds about companies based on their practice and how they deal with potential customers.

Personally I'm not annoyed that I didn't get a free box of chocs (takes a bit more than that to annoy me!) but in my opinion the offer should have been withdrawn from the site as soon as it became obvious they couldn't cope with demand, or as soon as the samples ran out. Allowing people to complete almost the entire process only to get an error at the end really isn't good practice.
  • The site is a triumph of style over usability (but then, so is a lot of the web).

If the offer has closed, they should say so sooner rather than just leave it for an error message at the end of an over-long and over-complicated input procedure.

This firm has still to grasp one simple fact: potential customers spend the overwhelming majority of their time online on other firms' websites.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

No email for me but chocs arrived. In fact I don't think I have seen anyone get the email at all.
Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together. :p
