Is there a chance there is a piece or matching carpet lurking in a cupboard?
If this covers the area, why not patch it in?
Also cover with a cheapie rug?

It's not my house. And im moving out this summer.

It needs to be back to a normal state.

I will have to buy a new carpet... Unless there are professionnals out there who can clean stuff like that.
    But it's very unlikely...

Happened to me a while back and was oil based gloss paint. Luckily for me tackled spill immediately and soaked the area with white spirit, phew! Probably a bit late now if it was yesterday. May have got away with water and washing up liquid/carpet cleaner.
If the carpet area is reasonably small you may be able to pick up a remnant from a skip at a carpet shop. My mum and Dad do this regularly!
    good Luck

Can anyone help, yesterday my one year old grabbed a tin of paint and it exploded everywhere onto my carpet, a bright red 2.5 l of water based paint onto my nice new brown carpet :(

We have tried to get it out as best we can and most of it came off but there is now a red tinge to my carpet, weve been using a carpet cleaner but its not getting anymore out now.

dont really want to claim on insurance as we have a high excess :(

Unfortunately, red is the hardest colour to remove :(
