Halifax mortgage, I'm paid cash

So we have had all the credit checks, it's showing on my credit file. The valuations been done and now they want a reference letter from my boss because I am paid in cash and can't show my wages going into my account. My pay skip does indicate this.

They have sent a letter via post to the registered address & my boss said he will send the reference back the same day.

What else may they ask for? I want things to hurry up so of they are going to ask for something else I want to be ready!

Thanks in advance

  • Halifax have an email facility to do this. This method will cut out a number for days, especially if your boss is fast.
  • So once he receives the letter he can email them? Will that be enough for them or could they ask for other stuff? Want thinge to move as quick as POSSIBLE!
  • Call Halifax and find out exactly what they are looking for. Ask them for their email address.

Give the information to your employer and ask him to submit asap.

No need to wait for any letter
  • Thank you for your replies, I will get my boss to email the required documents. I have left a message with my mortgage advisor to call me back so I can find out what they require.

Does anyone know what (if any) other information they may request to confirm my wage other than a reference from my employer. I work for a sole trader as an accounts manager and do his books
