Most cameras take any size (capacity) up to 32Gb, some more recent ones can take the 64Gb and 128Gb ones.0

If you know the make and model of camera(?), we would be better able to advise. Perhaps the camera is supplied by the college?
I would buy a good quality make, the fastest and largest capacity card which the camera will take."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

I explained in the duplicate thread why this isn't a good idea, multiple smaller cards are much safer.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

A standard 32GB card is probably the safest bet (higher capacity SD cards are SDCX which not all older cameras can use), should do the job fine unless she's going to do be doing a lot of video or burst shooting.
