Be wary when looking at charges that show a reduction in yield. A number of the fund supermarkets get their data from the supplier and it assumes full retail initial charge.
For example, Inv Perp High Income has a 5% initial charge. If its discounted to zero or anything upto 3% (as is common with that fund) the reduction in yield figures may still be based on the 5% retail charge.
I would expect HL to be cheaper though. Just perhaps not as much as shown.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Can anyone confirm that you don't pay any minimum charge on switches between holdings at HL? I know with Bestinvest the minimum switching charge is 0.25% regardless of what the IC is of the fund you're switching into which is one reason I may be looking to move to HL for one portfolio I'm looking after presuming their minimum switch charge is nil (it seems to be the case, I've not had occasion as yet to test it out).0
