two of my kitchen wall units are fitted against my cooker extractor either side (as are most people's). the bottom edge of the cabinets have become affected by the heat / moisture coming from the ceramic hob below them. i have heard there are stainless metal protectors you can fit to the bottom edge of wall units to cover any damage caused and protect against future damage.
i have tried searching on line for these but am not having any luck. does anyone know what i am looking for or what they are called please?

Hi,
have a google for 'stainless steel sheet', various options, some will cut to size, though you might get it locally from an engineering workshop.
Could drill it to screw to bottom or maybe some of those 'Sticks like Sh*t' thingies, would do the job.0 -

This? It fits the bottom of the kitchen cabinets. Maybe it can be adapted.

Diffusion barrier - they are more commonly installed above the front of a dishwasher to protect the underside of the worktop from moisture.

Yes on a cabinet, wall, floor, door frame , window, sill upside down, left, right flat, its still 90% Any Aluminum, metal, plastic etc 90% Angle will work you just need choose that size covers the damage... The reason the worktop is often used there cheap come in many colors, materials easily available require little to no preparation etc but you could use stair nosing, angled bead etc etcthanks for suggestion.
