Hi there, me and my girlfriend have seen a house we like we put down a holding deposit and filled out all the paperwork.
It came back that my girlfriend did not earn enough to pay the rent in full and we would need a guarantour for the full rent because if I walked out she couldnt afford the rent.
So we got my gf's father to guarantor, and now they are saying that he doesnt earn enough to guarantor it.
this is severely peeing me off now, at the end of the day Im signing something to say I will pay the rent why is this any different to if I had the tennancy on my own.
I am now tempted to walk away but will loose £200 for nothing if I do.

yes I'd be tempted to walk away too. Anyway even if you did walk out you'd still be liable to pay rent as a joint tennant so that wouldn't let you off the hook.
Try to find a more reasonable agent and ask the questions before commiting, otherwise go private they aren't usually so picky....MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0
