I am inclined to agree with you when you state I having innocently fallen victim into these shark-infested waters. I cannot begin to tell you of how many Business Energy Suppliers contacted me during these two days. It was call after call, we can do this, we can do that etc. I went all over the UK with these calls. If I had stamped my passport for every city I had visited, I wouldn't be short of getting a new one.
Even though I ended up with NPower, my time with them has been nothing short of a nightmare, so only knows what the others would have been like.
I have relayed all information regarding my relationship with my energy supplier onto the Citizens Advice Bureau and the Extra Help Unit.
It appears that I am now locked in with NPower until the year 2020.

Well, I have relayed the the whole scenario to the CAB rep and to the Extra Help Unit, all details were taken down and that they had advised me that the issue would be looked into and that I was to wait for a call from the Extra Help Unit who would advise me as to the progression of the issue.

I found that once you have a named person dealing with your issue it is easier to sort out.0

Well I had sent Jen an email stating that she had wanted me to respond, to which I did almost immediately, and I have heard nothing back at this stage. I cannot send her a message as she has disabled that in her profile. I can't think on anything else to do.

Did you tell her in the email that you were responding to her post on MSE?
If I remember it is a generic email address so subject ref of MSE post
would help her to locate it quicker I believe.

Just taken a call from CAB, who wanted further details before contacting NPower regarding this issue.
