Insurance company got all details from my GP via my consultants but they seen i had been in hospital in January 1997 through alcohol and extasey( I genuinely forgot 6yrs later to tell on my form for critical illness)now they've asked my GPS twice now for more information,it was one nite that I didn't repeat but now I fell.I'm not gonna get a payment, anyone out here to tell.of my chances?I'm already 5months in arrears, cheers folk, best regards Foolish.

Assuming you were asked about these things and didn't disclose them, then you need to wait and see how they view this.
If you are now in great need for this claim to be passed then no reason why you can't politely give the right department some nudging to sort out the claim.
At least you will know the worst ,(,or the best,!!)0 -
A reminder to all to answer the questions honestly and to the best of their knowledge as you never know when you might need to rely on the insurer in future."It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Very sorry to hear about your stroke. Your insurer will be trying to conclude the matter as soon as possible, but if they are waiting on your GP, then the best thing you can do is to contact your GP and ask if they can respond as soon as possible. There will be some careful consideration due to the information that they now know, that they didn't when you took out the application. Once they have all the information, you should hear back pretty quickly. The outcome will very much depend on what sort of cover they might have offered in 2003 had they known about your previous history. Good luck, and good luck with your recovery.0
