I am new to this forum so hi everyone,
In early spring we paid a £2000 deposit to a company called Comfortable Conservatories. They quoted us £8000 to replace the roof on our conservatory with special glass to make it cooler in summer and warmer in winter. They promised it would be done in 3 to 4 weeks.
My husband choose them because they had good reviews online. But as soon as we paid them the trouble started. We had to chase them to get a surveyor round. To cut a long story short they ordered the wrong roof. Since then we have been calling them 2 or 3 times a week to get them to do anything. They have admitted that since they ordered the wrong roof there is no profit in the job for them, so we have been shunted around various branches.
So 4 months later we have no roof. I either want our money back or I want them to do the job we asked for before the weather turns bad.
What can I do?

Letter before action requesting the return of your deposit within a specified timeframe (specified by you) or you will escalate to Small Claims Court when your claim will increase to include the cost of bringing the action and any additional costs incurred.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
