Bifold?

Hi guys I'm currently doing an extention on my dining room area which only needed builiding regs. My builder has gone on holiday for two week so can't ask. I currently have two kitchen windows and would like these to be made into bi fold doors. My questions are
1) would I need to apply for seperate building regs or do I need them and could I add it onto my existing one
2) would I need a structural engineers report

You'll need building regs for the new opening for the bifold. Most likely they'll want structural calls for that but your building inspector will clarify that.

You can add it on to the building regs for the extension - applications often fall under different value of building work when cqlculating the fee. The doors possibly/probalby fall within the existing threshold.

If you use the existing openings, you won't need structural calcs. If you open up more than is there then you will.
