OVO versus Avro for Energy Switchover

Hi everyone!

After trawling through my Cheap Energy Club deals based upon my declared Gas and Electricity annual usage, I'm feeling torn between Ovo and Avro.

I saw that Martin was enthusiastically promoting the excellent levels of customer service of Ovo, plus its 2 year Fixed Deal but noticed that Avro were coming in cheaper for me for a 1 year Fixed Deal. I was in the throes of switching to Ovo last night for both my own and also my elderly parents' accounts but the Ovo website kept taking me back to searching for new quotes rather than setting me up with the switch-over process.....i then checked again with the Ovo website mid-morning to discover that last night's 2 year Fixed Deal has shot up in price by approx £50 per month based upon my declared annual usage.

Thankfully a very pleasant chap at Ovo, when I called them up earlier, very kindly gained authorisation from his Manager to honour last night's lower Unit prices and offer these to me for both accounts.

Does anyone have any thoughts on whether my gut feeling to go with Ovo versus Avro is the best one please?
