I have given my old IPad to my husband, some of the apps on it he will want to keep, others I need to delete how can I do this, for instance he will need his own sign in. He also reads books on borrow box, can I change the app for him to use it, or will I have un install and re install it.?

Best to do a full reset which will put it back to out of the box condition (except with the latest operating system it will support). He can then set it up with his own Apple ID and download whatever apps he needs.
