Electoral roll changed back to old address

Hi, was wondering if anyone else had experienced this problem.
We moved home in June and updated electoral register. After about a month or so all address details had been updated on all 3 versions of both the credit report of my wife, and my own. Last months reports were all showing the correct new address as the electoral roll address.
Just logged onto them all today to check them, and the electoral roll current addresses have all changed back to our old address. This is on noddle, clearscore, and experian (through MSE credit club) for my wife, and noddle and clearscore for myself. The address that we live at is now shown as a previous address, and our old address is now current.
I wouldn't normally care too much, but we have been accepted for a mortgage with Nationwide on a new build home, and just before we complete in a couple of months, our mortgage broker has said they will probably do another check of our credit reports to make sure nothing has changed.
I will obviously contact the local council on Monday and see if there has been an error there, but if there hasn't, and the council have our correct address, does anyone know of any reason why this could have happened?

Hi there,
If you moved in June and are hoping to move into a new build in a couple of months, then I assume your current address is temporary and perhaps with family. There may have been an issue verifying your new address which is why it reverted back, but you should really try and call one of the credit reference agencies for more information on this. Good luck,
Laura
