I'd be almost certain that that's a bs fob-off line. Why would Smart Parking be interested in sub-let, free to use, single store (I guess) small car park?The driver then spoke to them on the phone, they advised there's nothing they can do as it is sub-let to the Smart Parking company.

what annoys that driver the most is that most of the area is actually free parking. just this one car park! live and learn...0

Yes, but the likes of Smart are so easy to beat at POPLA, it's fun...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yesterday Smart Parking withdrew the fine - thanks to the appeal process from POPLA.
