Credit Checks

I am trying to get the new iPhone 8+ on a yearly upgrade program and a sim only contract with EE, both of these require credit checks, If I apply for both of these in the same week will it effect my credit? I am a 19 year student, with only a current account.

I believe (although I could be wrong) only 1 credit check is carried out.
A cheaper option is to buy a phone outright and buy a sim only plan.
Be much cheaper, plenty of phones out there that cost alot less than an iphone 8+.0
