Cancelling PPI on Capital One CC

I have a credit card with Capital One. I have been a stay at home mum since April 2006. Can I cancel my ppi with capital one by just writing to them?

I cancelled my PPI with Capital One last week.
I did it over the phone and they said they will send me a letter to confirm.

Yeah i just gave them a ring and they cancelled it over the phone. Didn't even try to ask me to change my mind...guess they're not allowed to any more.
I got a letter a few days later confirming it had been cancelled.0 -
