Thomas Cook Refund

Thomas Cook flew us to Cuba on 6th September (we later found out this was same day they flew out special assistance team). So on arrival we were told we were being evacuated this involved a 91/2 hour coach journey with no working toilet on coach and being given only 1 bottle of water the entire journey. We were then told by a special assistant agent we were no longer on holiday. The hotel we were in was way below standard we had booked big we are thankful for being alive. Thomas Cook gave a letter saying we'd get full refund the question is do I have to accept this on vouchers?

Have they suggested that the refund will be in vouchers?0 -
In this post the poster mentioned being offered refund in vouchers or cash http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=73126023&postcount=9Maureen_stevenson wrote: »Thomas Cook gave a letter saying we'd get full refund the question is do I have to accept this on vouchers?0 -
No you do not have to accept the vouchers. Just tell them you want cash instead and they will ask for your bank details and send you the money.0

We were in the same situation as yourself. We rang Thomas cook customer services and asked for the cash back. To be fair to TC, they quoted 3-5 working days and it was back the next working day.Newish member, lover of technology and all things mobile0
