Boosting Home WiFi

Hope someone can help me.


I have Virgin Media and my WiFi isn't reaching the whole of the house or even slighly into the garden.


What is there that I can get to get the signal further / stronger?

Depends how technical you are. You could get an Access Point that you could connect to the Virgin Media box but you'll need to be technical or know someone who is to set it up for you.

The usual way is to put the VM box into 'Modem only' mode, then attach a router and use the wi-fi from that ... something like this maybe?

I don't have a VM box, so not sure about the connections, but my Sky router didn't reach that far in to the garden or in to our Master bedroom.

I just bought a TP-Link Wifi extender (£22)

You just plug it in to a power socket and plug an ethernet cable from the box to the adapter. Then plug the extender in to any other plug socket in the house and works great for me.. I can now get to the end of our road before i lose signal,
