Now that my road has been adopted, I feel that I'm just paying for everyone else's grass and areas to be cut and getting nothing from RMG for my fees.
You're getting to live on a well-maintained estate. Even if the council keeps your street tidy, the value of your property (as well as your level of contentment) will be affected by the general environment of the whole estate which RMG is maintaining.
Additionally, I repeat - why should I pay council tax when the council uses my money to provide meals-on-wheels and schools, care homes, street lighting (none in my village), taxi licencing etc - none of which I benefit from. Same argument as yours.......
All I asked was is there a legal route where I can find out what's what given the situation.
We can't help if we don't know.0
