we have taken out a car insurance with the NFU after a recommendation of a friend, and are very pleased. Originally we thought you had to be a farmer and a member of a Union to purchase this insurance as the name indicates. The do not appear on the Insurance Comparison sites so they do not have to pay any commission. Also for what it is worth they come out in the top 3 car insurance on Which. Their prices were very competitive When renewing your car insurance, in our view it is worth contacting them for a quotation. It is just another option you may not have considered. There was no hard sell and the process was both friendly and efficient.

Not for me. I wanted below £400 and they were over £800. They also had a £1250 compulsory theft excess because they deem my car 'high risk'. No other insurer had such a theft excess.

£8000 for my little ones KA. Paid less than £1000 elsewhere which is not bad for a first year insurance.

Even a quote for me with no claims etc came into 4 figures where i paid less than half of what they quoted.

Nice to speak to on the phone though, no issues there.
