Are real wood floors worth it?

We had engineered oak fitted throughout the hall, lounge and dining room earlier this year - and we love it.
If you go for engineered, it's worth spending more for a thick top layer of oak - ours is 6mm, which gives scope for sanding/re-oiling if necessary.0 -
I think its worth the extra for real wood, but while engineered looks great bear in mind if it is installed as a floating floor it doesn't feel as solid underfoot.0

Solid wood all the way. Expensive but well worth it. Feels warmer, looks better and sounds better.0
