Why should "they" make it worthwhile? There are plenty of unemployed. So if the OP wants to sit around on her bum on benefits and lose all her employment skills, ensuring that she and her child are headed for a life of poverty, who are we to get in her way? "They" are every taxpayer, and why would be want to pay her to have children AND work, and probably end up better off than plenty of people paying the taxes!

No. I think it's you that is confused. She didn't have to get pregnant. She didn't have to have the baby. These are choices she made. Her, and presumably somebody else. Why should we pay for her to make those choices and also work? Having children costs money. For a long time. Are you suggesting that the OP was too stupid to understand that? Did she genuinely think that the rest of us would pay for her lifestyle? And she'd be better off?

It's a crying shame that producing children doesn't make you wealthy so that you have to expect everyone else to pay for you. And even more regrettable that the stress of everyone else not paying for the child means that one's mental health is at risk. Do I detect yet another benefit claim in the making?

This is the sort of thing that gives the majority of benefit claimants a bad name.

I think she may have returned and reported a post I made which has been removed. I made a comment similar to many here regarding being subsidised by taxpayers.

Likely because the forum rules are to give advice on benefit entitlement and not your opinion on whether it's right or wrong.

True, but that was being strictly adhere to there'd be far less posts on here. Which does yet again make me wonder why some posts are removed and not others saying fairly similar things.
