Kitchen Fitting

Options
Evening,

Took me a while to find a kitchen fitter that could do the work when needed (mid October) so struggling to find someone else to quote - I'm blaming all the summer sales the kitchen companies had.

I've been quoted £3,000 to fit kitchen which includes:

Removal of existing kitchen
New power supplies for Oven, Fridge Freezer and Microwave.
2 new double sockets.
Relocate isolator switches into cupboards
Relocate gas hob to opposite side of kitchen
Fit 14 units including 2 tall plus laminate worktop and splashback from DIY Kitchens.
Installation of new appliances
Tiling floor

Also I should add I'm in a 1st floor flat with no lift and the kitchen is only getting delivered curb-side.

I just need someone to tell me this sounds a fair price so I feel more confident I'm not getting ripped off.

Thanks for any assistance.

Adam.

That sounds really fair to me. There's a fair amount of work there. :)

Very cheap. Is he any good? Have you seen or spoken to some of his customers.

The quote seems very fair even on the low side.

Make sure it includes disposal of the old kitchen and that all electric and gas work will be undertaken by suitable Gas Safe registered engineer ( who's ID you will check) and that the electrical work will be undertaken by a suitable NICEIC, or other approved body, engineer ( who's ID you will also check) and that all appropriate electrical certificates will be issued.

I think gas certificates are optional but you may need to check that.
  • Looks very reasonable.
