I've just read about this on another forum, i can't see that it's already being discussed here. Does anyone know about it ?
Amazon are selling MS Office Professional Plus 2016 for less than £20. Apparently there has been a big Court case with Microsoft trying to stop the sales, but the European Court saying the sales should be allowed.

The thread i read on the other forum, several people had bought one and everything is working Ok, and most Amazon reviews are positive. One poster on the other forum said he'd paid only £11.98
I've only got one of the free Office Programmes myself, which is good enough for what i need, but the MS one is supposed to offer extra, isn't it ? If some need a bit more.

The first review here by someone called PR on 17th August gives details of the Court case.

Amazon isn't the seller. That other well known business Cairnquay is.
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.

Interestingly the MS professional PLUS version being what the seller on Amazon is providing is/was only available from MS originally though a volume licensing channel agreement.
Presumably then the selling company has acquired rights to such an agreement possibly via another company's liquidation/administration fire-sale of assets and is now selling them off cheaply to the general public while still making a profit on each one.

Edit: the original court case was between Oracle and a software reseller not Microsoft

I've got Visio 2016 and MS Project 2016 from them for under £15 each. Activated online and no problems with updating or using. YMMV of course
