I've searched the forums and nobody seems to have mentioned this yet.

Five DVD rentals is giving away a DVD player to every 10th customer that signs up for their FREE 2 week trial.

It's a high chance of success, and free to try if you haven't used a lovefilm powered service before. (Perhaps this belongs in the competitions board instead?)

You can sign up and close the account right away if you haven't won a player (you are informed immediately).

Incidentally I won one of these - did anyone else win one, and if so - any results?

i looked on the site and they have changed it to every 50th person to sign up get a dvd player!

how do you know if you've won? Just signed up but didn't get anything to say "congrats!! you've won!!!" or "Ha ha LOOOOSERRRR"?

I've moved this over to Competitions Board, now that the odds on getting a free DVD player have shortened.

I won one of these back when it was a 1 in 10 chance.

I have received the DVD player. It's not a very good one and I had to return it, but still, of course, great for free.
