Canada Square Operations Letter regarding Egg Card Complaint!!

I had the same from Canada Square and only a couple of days have had the result that they’ve upheld the complaint. However they’re only paying back about 130 and I paid a huge amount towards the pip having the card sitting at about 15k for a good couple of years.
Does anyone know if the Previn refunds are different to regular ppl claims in terms of what has to be paid back?0 -
Hi - I received one of these letters too. Originally my PPI claim was rejected because they could not find my account. I don't understand how they can now send me this new letter if it was not originally found. Am I missing something???
I’d suggest doing a subject access request against them to find out what information they have on you. Might turn up something interesting. It could be they only have your details from the original complaint and someone has been a bit rubbish with the mail merge, just picking up people who complained originally.0 -
I got this letter and responded accordingly. I received quite a substantial offer that I accepted and consequently used. Three months later I received another letter to say that I had been paid the money in error. The money should have been paid to the company that managed my IVA. Although the IVA had concluded 18 months previously the debt management company are still, apparently, entitled to any compensation payouts. Although it took Canada Square Operations three months to realise the error they are expecting me to pay back the money within 14 days. This has put back in to the very financial difficulty that the IVA resolved.
None of the correspondence from Canada Square Operations made any reference to who the money would be due to if you had previously been in an IVA. I'm not saying I'm without fault, and should probably have realised that my previous debt management arrangements would have some bearing on the claim, but some clarity in their letters would have avoided this. I had a very similar letter from RBS that clearly states that previously being in an IVA will affect who the money gets paid to.0
