Vanquis Credit Card

I have a Vanquis credit card (big mistake) that is killing me, I am at the credit limit and the minimum payments are around £150 a month so i'm finding it to pay more than the minimum ( though I do when I can). I thought it would be good to get a loan for the same amount but at a better rate to pay off the credit card then pay off the loan instead but due to my poor credit rating I cant do this either.

Any advise for what I can do to help myself in this dire situation greatly appreciated.

If you contact Vanquis directly and discuss the fact that you're struggling to keep up with payments, they should offer some sort of repayment plan and to freeze the interest, which, in effect will cancel the card, I would assume. However, this sounds like the best option for you if you're struggling. Lenders, when you apply do not like to see you at the credit limit on your report.
