At the risk of being accused of sounding biased, I think it's unlikely.

The number of buyers who will be looking for a property such as yours, but choose not to contact your chosen EA as they would prefer to reach out to you direct via the Purple Bricks website is likely to be slim to non-existent.

Im looking to buy a house at the moment and prefer it if its listed on purplebricks. I can speak direct to seller via PM and put in offers 24/7. Already put in offers and messaged a few sellers so far, its raw but works. I search rightmove daily so its not like i dont see everything on market but a few days over last month i've done purplebricks only searches.
  • I've had the worst buying experience ever with Pb. Seller used the PB conveyance option and they are terrible. What should have been a quick transaction (with no chain either side or mortgage) has taken 4 months just to get to draft contract stage due to their incompetence and lack of professionalism.

2 months after offer was accepted no documentation had been sent to our solicitor nor did they reply to any queries. It was only after threatening the vendor to pull out did we finally see some movement.

I would never sell with them, their agent pretty much disappeared and didn't answer emails once we started wondering what the hell was going on after 2 months of nothing.

    Use at your peril!

and as an aside to that their solicitors/conveyancing fees were £999 plus vat..definately NOT cheap...money for old rope
    ,

my regular solicitor cost £1.3k for a house buy, seems about standard or what price you expecting?
  • Go for it, my experience is that local agents build up a database of people they do and do not to show properties to in addition local agents seem to only work 9-5 and its very difficult to get a viewing at the weekend or evenings after work from them. Im assuming that online agents eg purplebricks are much more flexible and less biased. Also i have had bad experiences with local agents which put me off using them eg one who took my details, bank statement , payslip etc then told me that the property i wanted to see was no longer available and tried to show me one which i had no interest in .
